Reports & Announcements
Rotract club president Conan Zhao read a letter from his club Sunland-Tujunga-Shadow Hill requesting a desire to establish a “sister club” relationship. President John thanked them for their offer and promised to bring the matter to the Board.
Past President Kevin gave a short report about his trip to the Rotary International 100 Convention in Birmingham, UK. About 6,000 Rotarians from all around the world attended. Many were interested in what was happening in China and it was great opportunity for fellowship.
President John announced that Rtn. Jens Drier has agreed to act as Treasurer for the remainder of the 2009-10 year and that the Board has unanimously approved his appointment. Jens is past president of the Club and acted as treasurer for a number of years. Jens expressed his thanks and promised to give an update on the club’s finances to the members as soon as possible.
