Reports & Announcements
Christmas Bazaar: Ruby suggested we have a table auction to use up some of the left over prizes from the Bazaar and raise some additional funds. There were three tables and three table captains, the Secretary, David and Nick, the Secretary’s table by dint of adding their happy money to the proceeds came in a dubious first. There will be an official inquiry. Nick did an admirable job and an honorable mention goes to David.
The Secretary announced the club will move forward to purchase the new club software which will cost USD $500 per year. The new software is necessary so we can integrate our required club reporting with RI. The reason is that RI decided to stop supporting the previous software reporting software last year which was provided for free. Luckily a number of ex-Rotary District Governors have offered programs for $500 a year. To free up funds and stay within our budget the club will switch to a virtual office, current files will be moved to a storage space donated by the Kempinski (thanks to Rtn. Rene Schmitt). Nancy will work from home and we will have our mail delivered to the Kempinski. The move will be accomplished over the next 6 months.
TRF Director Josephine and Service Project Director Don made their monthly report about projects ongoing situation. This report will be published on club website for members only access.

Rotaract Club of Beijing made their report of projects they are currently sponsoring and their leadership structure. On Monday evening they had a speed dating fundraiser which attracted 40 participants luckily an equal number of both sexes. The event was declared a success when people refused to move. The event was aimed at raising awareness, attracting potential members and raising some funds. They thanked the RCB for approving RMB 50,000 for a joint service project. It is hoped that this will be an opportunity to bring the clubs closer together. Their report will also be published on club website for members only access.
