Report & Announcements
Mrs. Feng Cui, Vice President of CCTF, on behalf of the foundation thanked RCB for the invitation and expressed her happiness to join our weekly meeting. Mrs. Feng gave a brief overview of the CCTF organization and introduced some of their recent activities and events. She explained that their work includes, amongst others, women and teenage vocational training, migrant children education and Sichuan earthquake relief efforts. Anyone wishing to know more about CCTF, were encouraged to visit the CCTF website: www.cctf.org.cn
Mr. Graham Davies, a trustee of CCTF UK, also gave a short speech recommending CCTF as a credible and ideal partner for Rotary to work with. He added that he felt that CCTF was a very notable Chinese charitable organization with an efficient and professional management team.
As this was an assembly day meeting, President Kevin Fong presented his report to members on the November Board meeting which had been held the previous evening. However, due to time constraints, President Kevin was unable to complete his report and so members requested President Kevin to continue with his report at the next weekly meeting.
