Reports & Announcements
Ball Chair Rtn. Arne Gooss provided an update on the progress of the Ball preparations and announced that the sales of Ball tickets will start at the beginning of April. Members will be able to buy Ball tickets at any time, including at luncheon meetings, through the Kempinski Hotel.
PR Director Gilbert announced that the RCB website has now the member’s list online. Gilbert is the only member listed as for now and showed the first receipt to list a member’s website on the Club’s website – RMB 200 as Happy Money. He encouraged members to fill out their member’s data and opt for their preferred way of being listed. The yearly charge to mention a website has to be paid to our Club Administrator, Grace.
Past President Carl-Ludwig Doerwald announced that Rtn. Sigrid is our representative for the Dulwich College Rotaract Club. He reported that the Club has more than 30 members and has created its own banner. Rotaract President Kevin displayed the banner and explained its symbolic meaning.
Rtn. Benjamin Thoma made a report on his recent trip to the Sun Children’s village. He reported that the purpose of the visit was to check what suggestions for improving the efficiency of their heating system have been implemented already. He noted that at least two recommendations were carried out.
