Reports & Announcements

Club President, Rtn. Kevin presented his report on the matters discussed at the recent May Board meeting. He added that a copy of his report will be sent out to members in due course.
President Kevin also reminded all members who are unable to attend the coming Annual Ball to please email PE Henry with an explanation of the reasons for their absence.

Ball Chair Arne updated members on the ticket sales for the Ball. He said that 160 tickets have been reserved so far and that 100 have been paid for. A list of pubic auction and silent auction items will be published on the club website by next Tuesday for pre-sale.

Rotary Foundation Director PP Regula presented a PowerPoint report on her recent trip to Wen Xian, Sichuan province, for the library project. PP Regula shared many photographs showing the difficult conditions that many families and children are having to endure since their homes and schools were devastated by the earthquake. PP Regula said that through her presentation, she hoped to inspire more members to participant in RCB project visits. She added that another trip to Wen Xian is planned after the October holiday later this year. Members wishing to find our more information about this project should contact PP Regula.
