Reports & Announcements
Club President Kevin welcomed our visiting Rotarian delegation from Germany. VPs and PEs from the different clubs made brief presentations about their respective clubs and presented President Kevin with two bottles of German wine. Rtn. Peter Güntermann, RC Palo Alto, USA gave a short introduction to his Club.

Rtn. Christoph announced that the first Rotaract meeting would be held next week. He reported that so far around 12-15 potential members have shown an interest.

Board members Henry, Don and John gave their respective annual reports to members. Due to time constraints, the remaining Board members will present their annual reports in two weeks time. All reports will be available on the club website in due course.

President Kevin presented appreciation plaques to board committee members and the Ball Committee Chair to thank them for their good work and achievements over the past rotary year. (2008-2009).

President Kevin also announced that PE Henry Wong would be moving back to the UK head office of Shell as from 1 July 2009 to take up a new role as Managing Consultant in Shell International Petroleum Co. As a result, he would not be able to take up the role as the President of our Club for 2009/10 Rotary year and regrettably had to resign from the role as PE at the Board meeting.
President Kevin added the Board had an emergency discussion on the replacement for PE Henry and following the Club rules and bylaws, Club Secretary, John was proposed and approved as the new President Elect for 2009/10 by unanimous vote.
New PE John accepted the board decision and expressed that he hoped that he would be able to continue Kevin’s excellent work for the club.

President Kevin announced that this would be his last meeting as Club President as he would be enjoying a one-month tax break as from tomorrow. He added that he had greatly enjoyed his year as President and wished us continued success in 2009/10. Rtn. Einar expressed his sincere thanks to President Kevin for his year as President during which he exemplified the Four Way Test.
